Lt. Scott Holbrook of the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office is a recent graduate of the Ohio Public Safety Leadership Academy.
The Academy is an 11-week accredited college level training course provided through a partnership with the Ohio State University Glenn College of Public Affairs.
The Academy was hosted at the Ohio Highway Patrol Training Academy and was offered at no cost to participating agencies through the Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Criminal Justice Services, in support of Law Enforcement training.
Graduates learned skills necessary to manage any division within a Law Enforcement agency, demonstrated preparedness to take on additional responsibilities and earned a leadership certificate and 10 hours of academic credit through the OSU John Glenn College of Public Affairs.
The 32 participants completed 276 hours of instruction in leadership, community engagement, public administration and contemporary issues in policing.
