Man Suffers Serious Injuries in Mobile Home Fire Monday

One person suffered serious injuries in a fire that destroyed a mobile home Monday afternoon.

 

According to McGuffey Fire Chief Jerry Ault, firefighters were dispatched to 108 Cottonwood Road at just before 4 Monday afternoon.

Two males occupied the mobile home, and one of them was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital and later transferred to a Cleveland hospital.

 

The other male had minor burns.

 

A dog also made it out of the structure.

 

A pickup truck was also damaged by the blaze.

 

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and remains under investigation.

 

Mutual assistance was provided by fire departments from Ada and Belle Center.

 

Firefighters were on the scene for around five hours.
