The month of May is National Stroke Awareness Month.
The American Stroke Association says you can use the letters in FAST to spot a stroke.
F stands for Face Drooping. A is for Arm Weakness. S stands for Speech Difficulty and T is for time to call 9-1-1.
A stroke is an emergency, and every minute counts, so call 9-1-1 immediately and note the time when any of the symptoms first appeared.
