150th Basic Peace Officer Training Class Graduates in Columbus on Wednesday

Each of the members of the 150th Basic Peace Officer Training Class, representing various Ohio law enforcement agencies, graduated and received Basic Peace Officer Certification and a Certificate of Completion from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Training Academy at their graduation in Columbus on Wednesday. The 44 graduates will assume duties as peace officers for 31 Ohio agencies.

Chief Jay McDonald, Marion Police Department, was the featured speaker for the ceremony and addressed an audience of graduates, friends, relatives and law enforcement officers. Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Chief of Staff Benjamin B. Suver and Colonel Charles A. Jones, Patrol superintendent, provided remarks and presented the certificate of training to the graduates.
