Ada Officials Remind Residents to Prepare Homes and Water Lines for Winter

Cold winter temperatures are not too far off, and Village of Ada officials are reminding to take precautions now to protect their homes and water lines from freezing temperatures.

You should insulate exposed pipes, disconnect outdoor hoses, keep your heat on, and let faucets drip when necessary.

You should also know where your main water shutoff valve is located, because if a pipe bursts, shutting off the water quickly can help minimize damage.

Residents and property owners are encouraged to take a few minutes to inspect their plumbing and prepare for freezing temperatures before winter weather arrives.
