The Alger Public Library currently has openings on the Board of Trustees.

Library Trustees are powerful advocates for libraries.

You do not have to live in the Upper Scioto Valley School District to be on the board.

As part of a Trustee Board, you would serve on a volunteer basis along with six other Trustees, who are appointed to a term of seven years.

The duties of Trustees are to direct the funding and policies of the library, and to help promote Library services and events.

Regular Trustee meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6 PM, and they meet occasionally at other times if needed for special circumstances.

The Library Director and Fiscal Officer report to the Trustees.

If you are interested in serving the community as a Library Trustee, call the library at 419-757-7755 or send an email to algerlibrarydirector@gmail.com.
