Aqua Urges Marion Area Customers to Conserve Water Amid Dry Conditions

Aqua is asking customers in the Marion area to voluntarily reduce water consumption.

The Marion water systems serve the City of Marion and the Villages of Caledonia and Prospect.

This request is due to prolonged dry conditions impacting source water capacity, and it is projected that rainfall will be limited in the coming days.

Until further notice, customers are encouraged to delay doing laundry or running a dishwasher until loads are full, shorten showers and avoid landscape irrigation and washing vehicles.

Forecasts suggest that the next opportunity for significant rainfall is weeks away, and while any precipitation is helpful, complete recovery in the watershed will take several inches of slow, steady rain.
