The Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta is offering an unforgettable opportunity for children through its “First Flight” contest — a chance to win a free ride in a restored Ford Tri-Motor airplane, the same type of aircraft that carried Neil Armstrong on his very first flight.
In celebration of Armstrong’s legacy and Wapakoneta’s rich aviation history, the museum is inviting children to enter for a chance to take to the skies in this iconic aircraft.
The contest is open to children ages 5 to 12 who have never flown before, and a parent or legal guardian will join the winner on the flight at no cost.
Entries are due by July 10, and the winner will be announced Friday, July 11.
The winner must be available for the flight on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
