As Fall Brings Increased Deer Movement, OSHP Reminds Drivers to Use Caution
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reminding motorists to remain vigilant while traveling, as deer are more frequently present during this time of year.
Rural communities in Ohio may experience heightened deer activity, particularly during the fall season.
Statewide, there have been over 108,000 deer-involved crashes from 2020-2025.
Hancock County is one of the top counties that have seen especially high numbers of deer-involved crashes over the past 5 years.
More than 100 deer-involved crashes have happened in all but one Ohio county during this time.
