Bellefontaine Firefighters Conduct Vehicle Extrication Training with Support from Local Partners

Bellefontaine Firefighters recently had the opportunity to train on vehicle extrication. 

This training covered the use and capabilities of extrication tools, tactics to free patients from entangled vehicles, and providing medical care during prolonged extrications. 

Mary Rutan Hospital’s EMS Coordinator joined the firefighters and provided scenarios for the crews to work through, and discussed the importance of thorough and aggressive treatment of trauma patients.

The Bellefontaine Fire Department thanked D&J Scrap Metals for their generosity. 

They said their support played a huge part in the training being a success.
