Over the past three days, members of the Benjamin Logan Transportation Department, including mechanics, bus drivers, On-Board Instructors, and the Transportation Director, participated in advanced training focused on emergency and accident response procedures.
With support from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the team experienced simulated scenarios such as driving under the influence and practiced evasive driving maneuvers.
These real-life simulations deepened their understanding of safety and response readiness.
On the final day of training, participants engaged in hands-on experiences including, special needs student support and evacuation procedures, first aid response, fire extinguisher training, evacuation from a smoke-filled bus, and emergency procedures for a flipped bus.
The department is now better prepared than ever to keep Benjamin Logan students and staff safe in the event of an emergency.
