Blue Star Mothers Ohio Chapter 32 presented red, white, and blue honor cords to seniors at two Hardin County schools this week who have  committed to serving in the U.S. military.

The cords were presented to Ridgemont High School seniors on Monday.

Three members of the group then attended Kenton High School’s award ceremony Tuesday to present honor cords to their seniors.

The members of the groups stated that they are proud of these young men and women and grateful for schools and communities that uplift and recognize their commitment to serve.

They noted that Kenton’s ceremony was the only one they’ve attended where the seniors entering the military received a standing ovation.
