Diamond M Veterinary Clinic recently shared information concerning heartworm screenings for dogs.

The American Heartworm Society is now requiring annual heartworm screenings for all dogs over 7 months of age.

Previously, the requirement was every two years.

Heartworm screenings are the most reliable method for confirming the efficiency of heartworm prevention.
