As part of the ongoing Downtown Project, water will be temporarily shut off for some residents and businesses in downtown Kenton this afternoon, starting at 4:30pm.

Crews will be working to switch over to the newly installed lines, and work is expected to be completed by midnight.

Once water is restored, a boil water advisory will be in effect for that area.

City officials stated that they understand this may cause some inconvenience, and they appreciate your patience and understanding as they work to improve the city’s infrastructure.

Real-time updates will be posted on the City of Kenton Government Facebook page and on the city’s website at www.cityofkenton.com.
