City of Kenton officials released an update regarding the current status of Eliza Street, between Detroit and Main Streets.

Initially anticipated as a short-term closure, it has become necessary for the street to remain closed due to unforeseen circumstances.

There are large holes temporarily covered with plate pending infrastructure upgrades involving exposed valves and pipes.

Until this essential work is fully completed and the plates can be safely removed, Eliza Street will remain inaccessible.

City officials are requesting that you use North Street for crossing in the meantime.

They acknowledge that this was not part of the original plan, and they greatly appreciate your understanding and flexibility as they continue with these important projects.

They added that your cooperation is invaluable in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our community infrastructure.
