
An Upper Sandusky man was killed in a crash that occurred early Saturday morning on US 30 in Wyandot County.
According to a release from the Bucyrus and Marion Posts of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 45-year-old Eric L. Shackelford was traveling east on 30 and drove off the right side of the road.
The vehicle struck the ditch and a fence before overturning and coming to rest in a field.
Shackelford was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Wyandot County coroner.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, Wyandot East Fire and Rescue, Wyandot County Coroner’s Office, and Ed’s Towing.
The crash remains under investigation.
