Findlay Fire Department Shares Crosswalk Safety Tips with Help from Sparky the Mascot

Using its mascot Sparky, the Findlay Fire Department has some tips for pedestrians using crosswalks.

You should:

Make Eye Contact: Before stepping into the crosswalk, make eye contact with drivers to ensure they see you and are ready to yield.

Check Traffic: Continue watching traffic as you cross, especially be aware of turning vehicles.

Avoid Distractions: Don’t use phones or headphones while crossing.
