Findlay Mayor Christina Muryn condemned the recent distribution of Ku Klux Klan recruitment flyers found in the city, describing it as an attempt to incite fear and intimidation within the community, according to a statement from her office yesterday.

According to the release, the flyers were discovered on the ground in various locations throughout the city.

Residents who came across them were encouraged to report the information to the Findlay Police Department.

The Mayor stated that an initial investigation suggests that Findlay is one of several cities across Ohio where similar materials have been distributed, often near interstate routes.

In her statement, Mayor Muryn condemned the flyers, stating that they aim to “gain attention, create fear, and fan the flames of dehumanization and intimidation.”

She assured residents that such messages do not reflect the values of the Findlay community.

“Hate will not be tolerated in our community,” she declared, vowing not to give further attention to those responsible for the flyers.

Authorities are working to determine if further action is necessary.
