
The Findlay Police Department welcomed a new police officer, and he is a familiar name in Kenton.
36-year-old Skyler Newfer was introduced at the Findlay City Council meeting Monday evening.
He previously served with the Kenton Police Department for 8 years as a patrolman and 4 years as a Sergeant.
Newfer now resides in Findlay with his family, and he will be assigned to the Findlay Police Department’s Patrol Division.
He attended Owens Community College in Findlay, graduating with an associate’s degree in criminal justice and later attended Tiffin University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
