France Lake will host a Free Fishing Day on Sunday, May 18, inviting the public to enjoy a day of outdoor fun at Saulisberry Park.

No fishing license is required, and fishing will be free all day long.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with giveaways, raffle drawings, and educational opportunities provided by Quarry trustees, who will be on hand to answer questions.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a fishing pole or simply relax and enjoy the natural surroundings with food and a picnic.

Jaeger’s Street Foods will be on-site offering hot dogs, and the Memorial Committee will be serving up their popular pulled pork dinners for a donation.

Food will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Free raffle tickets can be picked up at the event tent near the office.

Organizers invite everyone to stop by for “some reel fun” at this family-friendly event.
