Hancock County’s new microtransit system will be a reality in early 2027.

The HHWP Community Action Commission said it was all because businesses, local government, nonprofits, and philanthropy came together around a shared vision.

The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation, City of Findlay, Hancock County Commissioners, Findlay Tall Timbers Industrial Park, and the Blanchard Valley Port Authority are the founding partners for the initiative.

Their five-year commitment unlocked nearly $2 million in state and federal funding to launch and stabilize the new transit system.

This upgraded on-demand system will allow riders to request flexible, point-to-point rides via a smartphone application rather than relying on fixed routes.

It will provide several benefits for local commuters, including Technology and Booking, Hours of Operation, Fares and Discounts and Specialized Services.
