The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance shined its latest Member Spotlight on the Hardin County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

The agency supports children and adults with disabilities and their families from birth to death.

This November, the Hardin County Board of Developmental Disabilities/Simon Kenton School is asking voters to approve a .5 mil levy that will cost a taxpayer about $17.50 per year per $100,000 of property value.

The Hardin County Board of DD has not received new tax dollars since 2013.

Without these additional funds, they will not be able to fund preschool and school age programs, and those expenses would be passed onto the local school districts as they are required to provide the services.
