The Hardin County Courthouse in downtown Kenton was featured in the latest Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance‘s Tourism Spotlight.
The building was designed by the architectural firm of Richards, McCarty and Bulford and built in 1915.
It was added to the National Register of Historical Places in 1979, and a state historical marker was placed on the courthouse lawn in 1996.
The courthouse features neo-classical style architecture and is constructed of Indian gray limestone.
Additional unique features include a skylight with stained glass, multiple murals and chandeliers made of brass work.
