Students from Hardin County Key Club had a chance to volunteer at the Hardin County Humane Society and learned what keeps them busy.

The students found out that the Humane Society receives no county funding, and they are run completely by volunteers and donations, and bingo is their biggest fundraiser.

The local Humane Society does not house any animals, but they do big things to help community control the pet population.

They also host a monthly pet food pantry for qualifying families.

Hardin County Key Club is a service and leadership organization open to any high schooler in Hardin County.
