This year, the Ohio Department of Agriculture is highlighting counties’ commitment to farming.

Hardin County was highlighted on Thursday for its commitment to hog farming.

ODA said that there are more than 86,000 hogs and pigs in the county.

That compares to a population of just over 30,000 county residents according to the 2023 Census Bureau.
