Hardin Northern will be implementing a new option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs called Community Eligibility Provision for the 2025-26 school year.
That means all enrolled students of Hardin Northern are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch each day of the entire school year at no charge.
No further action is required, and the student will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit an application.
More details on the program, extras and other cafeteria purchases will be released as the school year approaches.
Superintendent Drew Cano thanked Cafeteria Director Kristen Terhark for making this happen.
