Heat Advisory Extended Until Friday Evening
The National Weather Service has extended the Heat Advisory for this area.
It is now in effect until 8:00PM Friday evening.
Heat index values between the upper 90’s to lower 100’s can be expected.
Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses, so take extra precautions when outside.
Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing and try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
