Kenton City Schools BOE Held Regular Meeting on Monday

The Kenton City Schools Board of Education held its regular meeting on Monday.

Under New Business, the board approved agreements with Hardin County DD and Midwest Regional ESC to provide services during the 2025–2026 school year. Members also approved the fiscal year 2026 permanent appropriations and the certificate of estimated resources.

In addition, several donations were also accepted with appreciation, including $4,000 from Invenergy to the KMC CC class, $6,645 from a Stewardship Grant to the KHS Conservation Class, and $1,000 from Amvets Post #1994 to the KHS JROTC.

Personnel items included the resignations of three bus drivers and a cafeteria worker, as well as the appointment of a literacy support leader on a one-year administrative contract. The board also approved ticket takers, mentors, substitutes, and supplemental contracts for the 2025–2026 school year, along with salary adjustments for designated staff.

The next regular Board of Education meeting will be held on September 15 at 6 p.m.
