Kenton Police and Fire Departments to Host National Night Out on August 5

The Kenton Police and Fire Departments will be holding National Night Out activities on Tuesday, August 5.

The exciting event will take place from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the Kenton Fire Department.

This free, family-friendly event will feature food, music, and a wide variety of activities for all ages, including a bounce house, giant yard games, face painting, rock painting, a photo booth, sidewalk chalk, a squirt gun zone, and Touch-a-Truck.

Guests can also enjoy police and firehouse tours, live demonstrations, and a chance to check out emergency gear up close.

At this year’s National Night Out, there will also be a special resource table available for families of children with special needs—especially those who may be prone to wandering or eloping.

Families will have the opportunity to fill out an information form to assist first responders, provide a recent photo of their child, and share important details such as medical needs, triggers, and calming techniques.

This proactive approach helps emergency personnel respond more quickly, safely, and with greater understanding in the event of an emergency.

Every child is unique, and the Kenton Police and Fire Departments are committed to listening, supporting, and protecting all members of the community.
