Kenton Woman Almost Scammed Out of Large Amount of Money
A theft by deception incident had a happy ending for the potential victim.
According to the Kenton Police Department report, an employee of Fed Ex located a package that came in under suspicious circumstances and alerted authorities.
The package contained a large sum of money which was recovered before being sent to the suspect, who was listed as a New Jersey man.
The potential victim is an elderly Kenton woman.
Her money has been returned, and Kenton police are working with out of state authorities as the investigation continues.
