Ohio Northern University Law is back in session, and the Mock Trial Team is already ahead of the game.

Before classes began, students participated in the annual four-day Evidence Boot Camp, where returning team members mentored new advocates on direct and cross-examinations, opening and closing arguments and courtroom strategy.

Third-year student Emma Ray says the training bridges the gap between classroom learning and real courtroom experience.

Advocacy Director and Law Professor Donald Anderson expects a standout season.

Award winners include:

Best Advocates – Hailey Allmen, Jerrell Walker & Jasmeet Kang

Most Professional – Dane Duffy & Courtney Picklesimer

Most Improved – Jeremy Stewart
