Marion City School Bus Struck by Vehicle on Monday
The passengers and driver of a Marion City School bus were not injured, after the bus was struck by a vehicle Monday morning in Marion.
According to the Marion Police Department report, 37-year-old Jordan Robinson was driving the bus west on East Fairground Road, and when he traveled through a greenlight at North Main Street, the bus was struck by a northbound vehicle being driven by 63-year-old Franklin Dowell, of LaRue.
Disabling damage occurred to Dowell’s vehicle, and functional damage occurred to the bus.
Dowell was transported to Marion General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
He was cited for a red-light violation.
