Marion County and the City of Marion Safety Partners announced an updated monthly testing schedule for the activation of outdoor tornado sirens.
Beginning tomorrow, sirens will be tested monthly at noon on the last Wednesday of each month, weather permitting.
Some residents may notice longer cycles for the sirens in the county.
Outdoor tornado warning sirens are designed to alert individuals who was outside to seek immediate shelter indoors.
If you hear a siren sound during an emergency, seek immediate shelter, preferably om a basement or lower-level interior room of a sturdy building.
You should also stay away from windows and doors and monitor local media for updates and further instructions.
