May Brings Cool, Wet Conditions for Hardin County; Crop Growth Now Picking Up with Warmer Weather
May was a challenging month when it came to the weather.
Wet and cool conditions held up field work and plant growth.
The month brought much higher rain totals than April.
With higher temperatures recently, crop growth is starting to move along and hopefully will continue in this direction.
According to Extension Rainfall Reporters, the most rain in May fell in Jackson Township with 8.10 inches.
The least amount for the month was 3.4 in Marion Township.
