The Ohio Department of Transportation-NW Ohio District 1 reminded motorists that it’s breeding season for deer, which means they are on the move and crossing roads more frequently.

ODOT said that you should scan ahead for deer.

If a crash is imminent, brake firmly and stay in your lane since swerving can lead to a more serious accident.

When driving be alert, especially at dawn and dusk.

As always, ODOT reminds occupants to always buckle their seat belts.
