The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) will honor Ohioans who have died as a result of workplace illnesses or accidents during its annual Fallen Workers Memorial this Thursday, August 21.

The ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. in the William Green Building Auditorium, 30 W. Spring St., Columbus, and will also be streamed live on The Ohio Channel for those who cannot attend in person.

BWC Administrator and CEO Stephanie McCloud will lead the event, joined by BWC Board of Directors Chan Cochran (chairman), Peggy Griffith, and Jon Harvey, as well as Ohio Industrial Commission Chairman Jim Hughes and Ohio AFL-CIO President Tim Burga.

The memorial is held each year to pay tribute to workers who lost their lives on the job, highlighting the importance of workplace safety and honoring their memory.

For those wishing to watch remotely, the live stream will be available via The Ohio Channel.
