Several Ohio Hi-Point Career Center Welding students and parents attended an inaugural event hosted by Hobart Institute of Welding Technology, Hobart Filler Metals, and the American Welding Society.

The students made an impression on all three of the heavy hitters in the industry by showing up in full force to this optional after-hours event.

Students didn’t leave empty-handed, and rewards included two welders, valued at $2,000 each, $300 welding hoods, an AWS one-week robotic welder training course worth $1,800, high-end welding jackets, and more.

The event was a fantastic opportunity for the OHP students.
