Ohio Northern Law Grad Celebrates 100th Birthday and 71 Years as Ohio’s Longest-Practicing Attorney
An Ohio Northern University Law School graduate celebrated his 100th birthday Wednesday.
John O. Costine holds the record for being the longest continuously-practicing attorney in the state of Ohio.
He noted that his tenure is 71 years in the legal profession, the same length of time that Queen Elizabeth II ascended the throne in England.
Costine does not have a secret of longevity, but that he just keeps on going, keeps on breathing, and that seems to be the technique that works.
He is a 1950 ONU Law graduate and practices law in the small town of St. Clairsville, Ohio.
In celebration of his milestone birthday, ONU President Melissa J. Baumann provided a congratulatory certificate on behalf of the University and the Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law.
