The Kenton Middle School will be holding an event on May 15 that was last held 32 years ago.
Pig Day was first held in 1983 and continued every three years with the last one being in 1993.
The event is making a return on May 15 at the school.
As you can imagine, Pig Day is all about the swine industry, which is very big in Hardin County.
KMS 7th grade science teacher Katie Ketcham takes us through the day, “We are running a normal schedule where the kids are going to go to each of their normal classes, Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Career Tech and Global Seminar, and they are going to have an activity that is all planned by the kids. All of these activities and lessons were planned by 8th Grade students at Kenton Middle School.”
For the complete discussion on Pig Day at KMS, tune in Public Eye Saturday morning at 7:30 and Sunday at noon on WKTN.
