Residents in Hancock County Receiving Scam Calls
Hancock County residents are being advised about a scam phone call taking place.
According to a release from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, some residents have received a call from someone claiming to be Hancock County Sheriff Michael Heldman, who is telling people they are in contempt of court.
The phone number shows up as 419-210-8600.
Residents receiving such calls are advised to disregard the call and hang up. Do not give out any information.
The Sheriff will not call anyone in that manner.
