A Richwood man was arrested following a two-month investigation into alleged drug trafficking that was occurring at the Forrest Lane Apartment.
According to a release from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, detectives from the Multi-Agency Drug Enforcement (M.A.D.E.) Task Force, deputies from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, officers from the Richwood Police Department, and the Marysville Police Department’s Special Response Team (SRT) served a search warrant at 107 Forrest Lane in Richwood this past Friday.
Investigators located a firearm, cash, drugs, and drug paraphernalia in the apartment.
One occupant of the apartment, Timothy S. Island, age 38 of Richwood, was arrested for a probation violation and transported to the Tri County Regional Jail.
In addition to the probation violation, charges of drug trafficking and corrupting another with drugs are pending against Island. Island has allegedly been connected to a recent overdose in Union County.
Once the investigation is completed and laboratory results are received, the case will be presented to the Union County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of additional charges at a future Union County Grand Jury.
