Scam Alert: Fake BMV Text Messages Target Hancock County Residents

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office has been receiving complaints this week from people receiving a text message from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

Residents are being advised that this is a scam.

You should not reply to the message.

If you have any questions, you can call the BMV or the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office at 419-424-7097 for assistance.
