Trinity Evangelical Church in Upper Sandusky has issued a warning to the public about a scam.

It involves someone fraudulently claiming to collect donations for their Upwards youth program.

The scammer typically identifies himself as Aaron Anderson and states he is collecting money to help pay for his daughter’s participation in Upward.

Be advised that Upward Sports at Trinity Evangelical does not solicit funds from individuals or businesses.

They are a ministry committed to serving families, and they never turn a child away due to financial hardship.

Residents being advised to be cautious, and do not send money or share personal information unless you’ve verified the source directly with the church.

The complete letter is posted on the Wyandot Chamber of Commerce‘s Facebook page.
