Kenton High School was placed under Secure protocol this morning.

That is used when the school receives information that there could be a threat or concern outside of the building.

During a secure, students and staff continue to go about their normal schedule inside the building, but additional precautions are taken to ensure the security of the building, staff, and students.

Director of Communication and Safety Coordinator Kolt Buchenroth said thanks to local law enforcement, they were able to end the Secure protocol with knowledge there was no actual threat.
