Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Auglaize and Shelby Counties Until 11:15pm

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service effective until 11:15 PM EDT on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

The warning covers Shelby, Darke, Auglaize, Mercer, and northern Miami Counties.

70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail are possible.

Potential impacts include minor hail damage to vehicles, significant tree damage, and wind-related damage to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Residents are urged to seek shelter in an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building and remain alert, as tornadoes can form rapidly from severe thunderstorms.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 4:00 AM EDT.
