As the weather improves, planting season is here, which means farmers will be headed to the fields.
When you encounter farming equipment on the roads, Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart said you should be patient, “Take it easy for a couple of miles, because they’re not driving from Cincinnati to Cleveland in their tractor. They’ve got to get to their field, there’s no other options for them. The equipment is large. Farmers will get over as soon as they can. Virtually every farmer I know will do that.”
Farmers are not required to pull over and let traffic around, however some will when they can do so safely.
The safest thing is for the farmer to get to their destination as quickly as possible.
