The Sock and Slipper Santa Train offered by the Hardin Co. Business and Professional Women’s Club reports a final report total for the 2025 Christmas gifts at Helping Hands.  In this time of various cut backs from various sources, the club was very thankful for all donations that are provided for the needy children as clients in Helping Hands for Hardin Co.

The collection of donations included the following: 342 pairs of socks, 7 pairs of house slippers, 1 t-shirt, 22 pairs of slipper socks, 16 caps, 29 pairs of gloves, and 1 tote bag. The collection over the years has enlarged to accept whatever people wish to provide.

This was possible with help from the generosity from support of other clubs such as Hardin Co. Retired Teachers, Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Intl., Kenton-Hardin Co. Soroptimist Intl., and the general public of Hardin Co. Of course, we owe gratitude to Kenton Home Savings & Loan for being the collection center. The financial institution has been very generous to provide the set-up of the Santa Train every Christmas for several years.
