Work on State Route 37 at the Hancock/Hardin County line is nearing completion.

The emergency closure was necessary following heavy rains that revealed a failing drainage structure, and a major repair was needed.

Nine concrete boxes, totaling 72 feet, arrived last week, and Hardin County crews had everything prepped and ready to roll.

The road is expected to reopen in early November.
