
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office released information on an accident that occurred this past Sunday involving a Tesla that was operating in automation mode.
According to a release, the accident occurred in the area of County Road 14 and US Route 68 and involved a 2022 Tesla being operated by Mahomoud Washed of Baltimore, Maryland.
The vehicle was traveling south on 68, and it did not recognize the road closed signs and struck one of them.
There was minor damage to the vehicle and Washed was checked by EMS but was not transported.
Hardin County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Northern Hardin Fire District, Blanchard-Dunkirk EMS, Kenton Fire Department, Arlington Fire and Appleseed EMS.
