There was a scary moment during the Tree Town Festival fireworks show this past Saturday night.

In a statement posted on the Tree Towns Festival Facebook page, the committee noted that not only was there a slight weather delay, but during the display there were two lengthy pauses that were caused by on ground misfires.

That could have had a catastrophic outcome for the firework technicians, but fortunately no one was injured either time.

The committee apologized that the fireworks were not the same standard that the Tree Town Festival is known for, and they appreciate your understanding.

Any questions, concerns, or comments may be directed to Tree Town Festival Chairman Dustin Evans.

The festival concluded Sunday with the 19th Annual Community Church in the Park, where a large crowd was on hand to hear guest speaker, former Ohio State Football Player Roy Hall Jr.

The event was sponsored by Hempy Water Conditioning, Hempy Cares and Martins Meat Mart.

A video of the service is posted on the Heritage Christian Union Church Facebook page.
